[Postfix-es] Ayuda con Postfix y cyrus

Estimados amigos:
Un saludo a todos los usuarios de esta lista podrian ayudarme con
algunas inquietudes.
He estado haciendo pruebas siguiendo un manual en Bulma sobre install
postfix cyrus sasl2, todo anda bien hasta que llego hasta esta prueba

$ telnet localhost 25

535 Error: authentication failed 

Me sale este error, he verificado en los log del sistema y me da este
dato:
warning: SASL authentication failure: Can only find author (no
password), ya he buscado en internet sobre esto pero ninguna respuesta
que he encontrado me resulta, alguien puede darme una mano por favor.

Hay una respuesta que encontre en internet en un foro, hago la copia,
pero ninguno de estos comando me responde me falta instalar algo mas?.

1. It is an incomplete base64-hash 
2. It contains no 0-Byte. I only see two "O". 

If you want to use champaka and champaka:

For validating: 

$> echo "AGNoYW1wYWthAGNoYW1wYWthCg=="|mimencode -u|hex
