POSTFIX RPM PACKAGE ANNOUNCEMENT
--------------------------------
This message is just to announce availabliltiy of the latest snapshot
version of postfix in redhat RPM package format.
Version: snapshot-20001217
Original Source:
ftp://ftp.porcupine.org/mirrors/postfix-release/experimental/snapshot-20001217.tar.gz
Source RPM:
http://www.pobox.com/~sjmudd/postfix/SRPMS/postfix-20001217-6.src.rpm
Binary RPM:
http://www.pobox.com/~sjmudd/postfix/RPMS/i386/postfix-20001217-6.i386.rpm
Changes:
--------
This version is a vanilla postfix package.
However if you want to build a postfix package with support for the
following libraries you just need to download the source package, modify
the options required and rebuild the package.
Modifications since previous (-1) build:
- fix a couple of typos
- warn if user is trying to build the package when he is not the superuser
- include Requires: /etc/init.d if built on rh7
- change POSTFIX_SMTPD_MULTILINE to POSTFIX_SMTPD_MULTILINE_GREETING
- support for building on rh7 (untested)
- if built on a rh7 machine, the spec file will include a Requires:
for db3/db3-devel.
- include the Requires: and BuildRequires: support for use with
openldap, mysql, pcre, and cyrus-sasl packages
- current build also shows the version of redhat the spec file
was generated on, just to make things a bit clearer
- add Broken auth support Daniel Roesen <droesen at entire-systems.com>
If you have any difficulties with this package please let me know.
As usual: use at your own risk - unfortunately I have very limited test
facilities.
You received this message because you asked me to advise you of changes in
the packages I produce. If you want to be removed from this list please send
me an email to <sjmudd at pobox.com>.
Regards,
Simon J Mudd
