This message is just to announce availabliltiy of the latest snapshot
and release versions of Postfix in RPM package format.

Changes since previous version:
-------------------------------

release / official version:

  - postfix-new-RPMS --> postfix-new-RPM-packages
  - update make-postfix.spec to work with rh72 and earlier versions
  - change pflogsumm.pl permissions to world executable
  - add openldap v2 libraries to chroot when installing
  - update to postfix-20010228-pl06
  - remove postfix-errors-to.patch

snapshot version:

  - change pflogsumm.pl permissions so that it is group and world
    executable
  - postfix-new-RPMS -> postfix-new-RPM-packages
  - changes to make-postfix.spec to ensure that we produce different
    package suffices for rh7.0 and rh7.1 than rh7.2

Relevent URLs and build information:
------------------------------------

Built under: RedHat 7.2-1
	Note: these binary packages won't run on 7.0/7.1
	- I hope to upload new packages for these versions shortly.

Versions:
	snapshot-20011008

Original Source Directory & file(s):
	ftp://ftp.porcupine.org/mirrors/postfix-release/
		official/postfix-20010228-pl06.tar.gz
		experimental/snapshot-20011008.tar.gz

Postfix Source and binary packages:
	http://www.pobox.com/~sjmudd/postfix/ftp/
		SRPMS/postfix-20010228_pl06release-1.src.rpm
		SRPMS/postfix-20011008snapshot-4.src.rpm
		rh7.2/RPMS/i386/postfix-20010228_pl06release-1.i386.rpm
		rh7.2/RPMS/i386/postfix-20011008snapshot-4.i386.rpm

or via anonymous ftp at ftp://ftp.ea4els.ampr.org/

Due to the incompatibilities between rh70/rh71 and rh72 platforms I can
not build rh70/rh71 binaries on rh72. Theresfore I have modified the
directory layout on my web/ftp site as follows:

	rh72	binaries for RedHat 7.2
	rh70.1	binaries for RedHat 7.0 & 7.1 (will work on rh72 with
						the db31 rpm)
	rh6x	binaries for RedHat 6.x

As usual please report any problems to me.

Regards,

Simon J Mudd
