My latest Postfix 2.0.16 RPMs are now available for Red Hat 6.x, 7.2,
7.3, 8.0 and 9.
For those of you still using Postfix 1.1 I have also updated the binary
RPMs (1.1.13-3) with a new corrected smtpd multline greeting patch. The
RPMS can be found from their usual locations.
The Source RPM should also build on Red Hat 5.x and Enterprise Linux,
Mandrake, Yellowdog and perhaps other RPM distributions. When building
from the source package several different options can also be included.
Changes since previous version:
-------------------------------
- not all binary RPMs had the smtpd multiline greeting banner enabled
[fixed]
- As before, if you build the RPMs yourself you need to explicitly
enable this patch.
- all Red Hat Enterprise Linux RPMS will produce the same rhel suffix
( I still need to reorganise the directories for this)
- /etc/init.d/postfix modified to check whether to do a condrestart
based on whether it sees Postfix running, and not on whether the
/var/lock/subsys/postfix file existed.
- On my ftp site I have made the following changes:
- All Source RPMS are accompanied with a .changelog file
- All Binary RPMS are accompanied with a .info.txt file which gives
build information
- I hope that this makes the information on my site clearer
