Ich schätze fetchmail ist schuld. Ich habe mein fetchmail als user daher so
konfiguriert:

set postmaster foolocal at localhost
set bouncemail

poll mail.example.com with proto IMAP and options no dns tracepolls
 user 'foo' with pass "secret  is 'foolocal at localhost' here \
 options ssl sslfingerprint "xx:xx:...:xx" fetchall \
