This message is to announce the availability of the latest release of
Postfix in RPM package format.
Changes since previous version:
-------------------------------
- Various changes to allow the package to build on:
- Yellowdog Linux 2.3
- RedHat Linux 8.0
- Slight changes in DB support. If you want DBx (3 or 4) and it's not the
default for your platform then set POSTFIX_DB=x before running
SOURCES/make-postfix.spec to build the spec file.
- Please note that on RH 8.0 rpm makes the package requires perl's
Date::Calc module, although the requirement isn't real. I have still
to find out why (it's a problem on 8.0, but not earlier versions of RH,
and fix the problem) so either install with --nodeps or
install the perl Date::Calc module to fulfill the dependency.
(The requirement comes from pflogsumm.pl, which is run daily by default)
There is no need to upgrade, these are cosmetic fixes only.
